The basics
Is 34-0-0 free?
Completely. No account, no download, no paywall, no ads inside the game itself. Open the page and play, in English or German. There is a voluntary "buy me a coffee" link and that is the whole business model.
What does "34-0-0" mean?
A perfect Bundesliga season: 34 games played, 34 won, 0 drawn, 0 lost. No club has ever done it — see our piece on why.
Can I play on my phone?
Yes. The game is built mobile-first and runs in any modern browser. You can add it to your home screen and it behaves like an app, but there is nothing to install.
Do I need to know German football to enjoy it?
No — ratings are shown as you draft, so you can play purely on the numbers. If you do know the league, turn on Expert mode, which hides every rating and leaves you nothing but names and eras.
Players and ratings
Where do the ratings come from?
From a public EA Sports FC / FIFA dataset, filtered to the German Bundesliga and grouped by club and decade. The historic end of that data is thin, so genuine icons are curated into a 90+ legend tier by hand. Ratings are approximations and opinions, not official numbers.
Why is [my favourite player] rated so low?
Usually because the underlying dataset undervalues players from before the modern era, or because that player's dataset entry is from a season that wasn't their peak. Several players have been corrected because someone emailed to complain, so please do — 34.0.0.contact@gmail.com.
How do I get a legend?
Roughly one spin in twenty triggers the ⭐ Legends draw. You can also buy the Legend scout upgrade in the Gauntlet shop, which guarantees one Legends draw in your draft. The full roster is on the legends page.
Why does my striker play worse at centre-back?
Because he's a striker. Every player has a natural position; playing them out of it reduces their effective rating, and playing them somewhere absurd reduces it a lot. The number shown on the pitch is always the effective rating for that slot, so you can see the cost before you commit.
The simulation
How is the season simulated?
Each match uses a Poisson goal model based on the gap between your attack/midfield/defence and your opponent's strength, plus a small home advantage. The pre-season odds come from running a thousand full eighteen-team league seasons; the season you watch is a single fresh simulation.
Why did the odds say Champions League and then I finished ninth?
Because odds are not promises. The odds describe what happens across a thousand seasons; the one you watched is a single sample from that spread. A team that finishes top-four 54% of the time still finishes outside it 46% of the time.
Why do my midfielders score so many goals?
They shouldn't any more. Goalscoring is weighted by position — strikers finish most, then wingers, then midfielders, with defenders scoring occasionally and keepers essentially never. Assists lean the other way, with midfielders creating most of them. If you play a formation with five midfielders and one striker, though, your midfield will still out-score your lone forward collectively, simply because there are five of them.
Do defenders ever score?
Yes — roughly 8% of goals, which is about right for real football.
The Gauntlet
What is the Gauntlet?
An arcade survival mode: draft an XI, then face a ladder of increasingly strong opponents with a boss every five rounds. Three lives, live 90-minute matches, and a reward card after every win — or a setback card after every defeat. It runs to 34 rounds. Full details on the how to play page.
What are coins for?
Coins are banked permanently at the end of every run and spent in the shop on lasting upgrades — extra re-rolls, an extra life, a pre-season camp, a guaranteed Legends draw, a club doctor. They are how runs build on each other.
Are the +1 rating card bonuses permanent?
Permanent for that run, yes — squad-rating and multiplier boosts last until the run ends. Only cards described as "form" are temporary and count down over a few rounds. Nothing carries between runs except coins and shop upgrades.
Is Hardcore mode meant to be that brutal?
Yes. One draw or one defeat ends the run, because that is what chasing an actual perfect season means. Most Hardcore runs end in single digits. That's the point.
Legal and privacy
Is this official?
No. 34-0-0 is an unofficial, independent fan project, not affiliated with or endorsed by the Bundesliga, the DFL, or any club or player. Club names are used descriptively; no official badges, kits or licensed imagery are used.
What data do you collect?
As little as possible. Your best score, coins and shop upgrades are stored locally in your own browser, not on a server. See the privacy page for the full detail.
